Good news from Naomi’s Fund

We loved Judah the moment we saw his face.  I'll never forget the day our agency gave us the referral in a windowless conference room for a two month old infant boy.  His name was Fresenay - "Child of Peace." His tiny hands balled into anxious fists.  His tiny feet kicked wildly.  Big dark eyes stared back at me; eyes searching for a mommy.  And half way around the world, here I sat, looking at our son.  Ecstatic and anxious, my heart pounded out of my chest for a whole week!  I had so many questions.  I wanted to know him.  To kiss him.  To hold him.  What was he like?  How would he feel in my arms?  Waiting seemed impossible.  I was ready to hop on a plane that very minute.  But, it would be ten months before that would happen.  Our journey to bring Fresenay home met with triumph and tragedy, lost paperwork and God's favor...a typical adoption miracle.  Naomi's fund came alongside us, providing financial resources to overcome obstacles, and emotional support to weather the rocky road.

Today Judah is finally home, though he's been part of us all along.  He is spiritually grafted into our family in the same way that we are grafted into the Kingdom of God through Jesus:  we are all orphans finally home.

We are grateful to be part of the Naomi's Fund family.  Your support will bring a child like Judah home to his forever family.  There are four million orphans in Ethiopia alone.  You can make a difference in the life of one.
